Able to discuss everything from front-page stories to social trends changing the way we live, his entertaining, dead-on style challenges audiences to discover what they have to do to move confidently forward.

Phil McGraw is the host of TV’s #1 daytime talk show, Dr. Phil. Now in its 18th season, this trailblazing and award-winning show continues to provide the most comprehensive forum on mental health issues in the history of television. Dr. Phil has a unique ability to take complicated and technical information and make it accessible and understandable to the general public. Through compelling stories about real people with a variety of emotional and behavioral problems, he strips away the shame and embarrassment that too often keep people from seeking help. His show also backs up the talk: Providing more than $30 million in aftercare services for its guests.

Dr. Phil has received 29 Emmy nominations and won five PRISM Awards for the accurate depiction of drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse and addiction, as well as a MADD Media Award. Dr. Phil also won an Emmy Award as executive producer of the hit talk show, The Doctors, which is currently in its ninth season. In October 2015, he was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.

Before his move to television, McGraw founded Courtroom Sciences, Inc. (CSI), a groundbreaking trial science firm specializing in litigation support. There, he worked side by side with top lawyers from around the world in high-profile cases. His work at CSI inspired the hit CBS series Bull, for which McGraw serves as a co-creator, executive producer and writer. Additionally, McGraw is the executive producer of the new syndicated daily entertainment news program, DailyMailTV.

McGraw is the author of nine #1 New York Times bestsellers, published in 39 languages with more than 33 million copies in print. The system was voted the most innovative and disruptive new technology at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show. In 2006, McGraw was honored with a Presidential Citation by the American Psychological Association for his significant contributions to the field of psychology.

McGraw and his wife of 41 years, Robin, are well-known for their tireless advocacy for children and families. In 2003, McGraw established the Dr. Phil Foundation, which funds worthy projects benefiting disadvantaged children and families. They also support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), devoting countless hours to recruitment and generating a $100 million increase in volunteer services in just one year.

McGraw is frequently invited to offer expert testimony before Congress on high-profile topics, including the overmedication of children in the foster care system, the growing epidemic of type 2 diabetes, cyberbullying and domestic violence. He also is a regular guest on major news programs. McGraw earned his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of North Texas, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in forensic psychology at the Wilmington Institute. He was a licensed psychologist in Texas where he practiced clinical psychology and developed one of the country’s first multi-modal protocols for the treatment of chronic pain.
